I started having BV infections April 2016. Took a round of antibiotics....seemingly healed and 6 weeks later the infection returned. Another week-long round of antibiotics, seemingly healed and 6 weeks later back again. A third week-long round of antibiotics, seemingly healed and at week 5....back again!!!! So I started pointing fingers at my boyfriend with some heavy accusations. Now I still feel like there was infidelity, but I think the reoccurrence was due more to it never fully going away. There are a ton of reasons for BV from using scented vaginal products, soaps, powders, infidelity and I've even heard it can be due to the drop in Progesterone after 40 (I'm 43)
I think it's important that besides trying to kill the bad bacteria we replace good bacteria. But antibiotics just wipe out everything. Then there's the issue of becoming immune to antibiotics. Out of desperation and embarrassment of odor I tried using a vitamin C tablet w/ Rose hips inserted into my vagina (used a suppository applicator to get it up high) Odor was all but gone the next day. I repeated for 3 nights. It crept back a tiny bit after a week. At which point I found these Capsules. I took them orally 2x a day for my first bottle and it has not returned. I'm mid-way through the second bottle and all is good. I'm going to dial down to 1x a day now and see how it goes. Hope this helps those who are plagued.
