I have tried other forms of folic acid which are toxic to me as I, like 40 percent if the population do not convert folic acid into a usable form. A nutritionist suggested this and I have never felt better in my life. Sadly, there are many forms of 'folate' which are not absorbable or excretable in a reasonable time frame ( months if half life) sold by various manufacturer s under various names. Dr. Ben Lynch, an mthfr expert suggests this form. Although it is one of the more expensive forms, it works really well and it is totally worth it as so many bodily functions rely on the proper methalation of folate (typically found in green leafy vegetables, beans, brocolli, spinach, squash, etc.). If you are considering it there is a chance you may be expecting at some time I highly recommend this product as this is what may safely be used to ensure your body had enough folic acid to prevent neural tube defects such as spinach bifida within the first 4 (maybe up to 8 weeks of pregnancy). Folic acid is used for this purpose, but if you have a condition like 40 percent if the population, most forms of folate, and folic acid won't work and will likely hurt more.
