I already knew the benefits of green tea - its just good for you! I discovered that certain herb teas might also have benefits of lowering the blood pressure. One of them is Hibiscus. I think the way it works, it is considered diuretic and effects blood pressure by eliminating excess of water build up in your body-therefore lowering your blood pressure. I tend to stay away from traditional prescription medications and lean toward holistic options - if this an option. Of course, most likely it will not replace medication you might need and your doctor always has to ok anything including supplemental additions. Some of them might actually interact with the medication so ok from the doctor is a must! But, if hibiscus will help - then I might need less medication and that is a good thing! Traditional Medicinals is a great company and they have organic products. This tea is very tasty and good for you. Hibiscus adds more prominent taste to green tea, it almost taste as you added fruit and lemon! I will buy it again!
