As summer starts to wind down, bathing suit season may be drawing to a close but you still may be hanging onto extra belly fat. On "The Dr. Oz Show" this week, Dr. Mehmet Oz discussed natural supplements for blasting fat, especially in the stomach area.
These supplements provide a safe, natural way to lose excess fat. However, what's important to remember is they take time to work. All natural weight loss products need time to build up within the body and work best when combined with a healthy, balanced diet and regular exercise. They essentially "rewire" the metabolism and keep your body from storing more fat and burning off what it has, so you need to give them at least six to eight weeks to see results.

This fat-buster is created from seeds that are native to Peru and aptly nicknamed "Inca peanuts" because of their nutty taste after roasting. These seeds can be found in the rainforest as well as the Andes mountains and are rich in vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and anti-inflammatory components. This blend of compounds is especially helpful for anyone looking to lose extra weight around the midsection while protecting the vital organs and tissues of the body. Dr. Oz recommended 600 mg of sacha inchi, taken just once a day, to speed up your metabolism and help slim your middle.
Typically a drink, kombucha is made from fermented tea, but isn't alcoholic. This drink has a laundry list of uses, some of which include boosting energy levels, giving the metabolism a jumpstart for better weight loss, clearing skin and supporting proper digestion. Kombucha is also said to have anticancer properties, although this connection is still being studied. If you're looking for the drink, try one that's premade so you can be sure it's been pasteurized to guarantee safety. Dr. Oz recommended switching your daily soda for kombucha -- you could lose up to seven pounds in one year. Kombucha is also available in liquid extract and capsule form if you aren't interested in drinking the tea on a daily basis.
