a lovely alternative to baking soda based deo
First and foremost, you have to manage your expectations when turning to natural alternatives. Especially when it comes to deodorants. With that out of the way, I think I really like this deodorant. Ive used to use natural deodorants that were baking soda based but i dont know, for some reason my usual arm and hammer and tom of maine deodorants kept giving me chemical burns and hyper-pigmnetation. That used to never happen to me, there used to be a time when I could use baking soda deodorant just fine. Somehow I developed a sensitivity to whatever ingredients they contain and I wanted a non-baking soda based deodorant so im glad I found this crystal. Ive never used crystal deodorants ever and this was a very pleasant surprise! You have to wet the crystal first to activate it, which admittedly makes it less convenient for on-the-go use, but you could easily just use a public restroom and use it just as you would at home. The size I bought is small enough to throw in my bag without dominating the space within it. the price is great too. I havent used it long enough to know how long the small size will last and im kind of concerned about the fact that you have to use water to activate the crystal and whether or not it will have an "ice under running water" effect (because I dont want to be rinsing product down the drain) but its held up pretty good so far.
