My mother, aged 74 has macular degeneration (both wet and dry). Unfortunately, it is progressing rapidly. She has been taking Ocudyne (8 tabs a day) for the last 26 days. Within the first 10 days, she felt that the feeling of irritation in her eye, that indescribable feeling that something is wrong, disappeared. There is no improvement yet in her vision though.
Before Ocudyne, she had taken NOW's Ocusupport, Optim-Eyes high potency vision support and Solgar Bilberry lutein and Eyebright complex, without any of them making any positive change. For the first time, we are allowing ourselves to hope.
As for the lead warning, we weighed the possible side-effects and benefits and decided to continue with Ocudyne.
P.S: She is also taking 20mg lutein by Now foods.
