I think Pure DHA is great! I give it to my one year old in his milk. The capsules are soft enough to cut open to add to the milk. I also like that it's berry flavored and not smelly like my DHA supplements.
Pure DHA won't work if they won't eat it. So, I can't say as to whether this will work for you, but we are returning it based solely on the fact that it's not as "chewable" as we had hoped. The taste isn't too bad, considering the source. But, we found a real chewable DHA, from Animal Parade. It tastes great and is crunchy - like a multi-vitamin. Hopefully it will help.
We've been trying Pure DHA on and off for a few months to determine if there is difference in our child. There is a huge difference! Our daughter is 3 1/2 and struggles with fit throwing, attention, and listening... focus in general. We have evaluated her diet and much has been removed as far as possible allergens go. When we give her 2-3 Pure DHA per day (some days only 1 is needed) there is a huge improvement with her being more attentive, loving, kind natured... and the child we know that is in there! Way to go for coming up with a berry flavor that they will eat easily!
I have been giving Pure DHA to my 3.5 yr old for 2 months and I have noticed a huge difference in her. She is more attentive and calm and not as whiny. She is sitting at the table long enough to actually eat a meal instead of a bite or two here and there and then 20 min later crying because she is hungry. So I just bought another supply for her and I will continue using it. Plus she LOVES TAKING IT! She begs for it every morning she says she loves the flavor and has no trouble chewing it.
