I've been taking Organic Flax 1000 for 4 months. I had purchased regular flaxseed oil because I thought I would benefit after reading about it. However, I didn't like the taste and didn't stay with it. I was at my local health food store and I saw these capsules in the reduced price section, so I got them. I take 3 a day, and I have noticed a marked decrease in the amount of joint pain I have. I have dead pieces of bone in both my ankles, calcium deposits on my kneecaps and a touch of arthritis in both my hips as a result of old sports injuries and heredity. I am 35, rather overweight but quite physically active, and would "creak" a lot when getting up in the morning and have minor recurring joint pain - especially in my ankles, but I don't any more since I started taking these. I did not start taking flaxseed to relieve joint pain - I was hoping to derive benefits from the Omega-3 fatty acids; it has come as a special bonus. One other thing, I believe that this oil is helping me stay on my weight loss/health program. I have no proof; it's just a feeling I have.
