Licorice root is absolutely vital to have around if you suffer from ulcers or any other irrititation of the mucous membranes. It is immediately soothing to your throat and to an ulcer. Instead of just covering the wound or irritation it actually heals it. Not to be taken every day, but you will find that you don't need too. Many issues will be resolved after taking it for a week or so. It has a very strong taste so I would recommend taking the tincture like medicine - no need to make the process longer by putting it in a tea. It is actually beneficial to take before you eat something, if healing of the stomach lining is what you are going for.
