Natural Beta Carotene: From Dunaliella salina algae. Nature's Plus Natural Beta Carotene Softgels contain 25,000 IU of Vitamin A activity and no chemicals or preservatives are used in production. Dunaliella salina is a single-celled algae, cultivated in seawater or salt lakes, producing 10,000 times more Beta Carotene than carrot cells.

NOTES: Does Not Contain: Artificial colors and preservatives.

Natural Beta Carotene is one of the best antioxidants available. When you search worldwide for sources of dunaliella salina you find them few and far between. This algae is not blue-green but a rich red in color. Whereas spirulina may contain 250,000 IU of Vitamin A from Carotene (in a 3 1/2 ounce sample), dunaliella salina - the main ingredient in this product - contains 8,300,000 IU, in natural beta carotene. That is a major upgrade of your vitamin A intake, and this is the natural form that the body prefers. I was impressed with the quality, purity and price. Break a capsule between your teeth and taste the refeshingly wonderful taste and you'll be hooked for sure as well.
