The Lutein in this product is extracted from marigolds and purified by an exclusive patented process (U.S. Patent #5,382,714). Lutein is the most abundant carotenoid found in fruits and vegetables, and is a potent antioxidant, especially concentrated in the macula of the eye. This Lutein is in a dry, water dispersed form, with no added oils or fats.
