Medication: Plavix - - Stay Far Away
Medication Type: Brand Name
Length Taken: More than 1 month but less than 3 months
Strength: 75 mg X 1 times per day
Side Effects: Depression, Constipation, Mood Swings, Gave Me Gas or Made Me Bloated, Loss of Energy, Increased Irritability
Other Products Taken: Aspirin, Prozac, Trazodone

Debilitating depression and terrible heart palpitations. I had a medicated stent put in (even though the cardiologist knew I was being treated for depression) and was prescribed this medication indefinitely. I am tapering off, even though the new "medicated" stent has the potential to cause a deadly thrombosis. (The previous unmedicated stents didn't cause thrombosis). I have to choose between laying in bed all day with depression or being active with a small chance of being killed by a blood clot. Buyer beware in the American system of healthcare!

Strength: 75 X 1 times per day
Side Effects: Depression, Nausea, Stomach Pain, Constipation, Mood Swings, Dry Skin, Rapid Heartbeat, Increased Irritability

This medication depress' me, changes my moods, tears up my stomach and I'm told I have to keep taking it so the stents they put in won't close up. The stent I had put in 2006 was closing and they just put another one next to it. I was taking Plavix the whole time but I had cut the dosage because of my stomach.
