Product Information

Regular, weight-bearing exercise and a healthy diet with adequate calcium, including from Bone-Up® helps teen and young adult women build bone mass and maintain bone health and may reduce their risk of osteoporosis later in life. Daily calcium intake above 2,000 mg is not likely to provide additional benefit. Adequate calcium intake is also linked to reduced osteoporosis by slowing bone loss in older men and women.

WARNINGS: Contains soy. Do not use if allergic to shellfish.

NOTES: For best results use with Jarrow Formulas® BioSil™ the Biologically Active Silicon.

I broke my arm in January (4 compound fractures). I spent 4 days in the hospital, had surgery to insert a plate and many many screws, and then went home to heal. I started taking calcium supplements to encourage bone growth, but after 4 months, my bone had not healed at all. My doctor was considering bone grafts if it didn't grow in soon. Looking for a better option, which HAD to be vegetarian, I found Bone-Up by Jarrow. Since I started taking it, my bone has healed back in. I can't say for sure that it was Bone-Up, but I can't imagine it is a complete coincidence either. I highly recommend this product. (Note: I am a healthy young person with no bone problems. There was no good explanation for the severity of the injury or its refusal to heal.)

Absolutely the very best calcium product I have ever used. It seems to absorb and metabolize extremely well - even better than other calcium hydroxyapatite formulas, which are already a great improvement over other chemical forms of calcium. I am in the highest risk profile for osteoporosis, so I'm always looking for the best. For now, for me, this is it! It is a very fine product, and the manufacturers deserve to be congratulated!

I find this form of calcium to be of high quality - which means it gives me maximum results. My nails are strong and my bone density tests have improved since beginning to take this calcium.
